All three doors on this machine were retrofitted with igus® DryLin® W linear guides. The machine has run smoothly since then without any signs of failure. The new linear guides are insensitive to dirt, which was the main argument behind their implementation, but they are also compact, corrosion-resistant, quiet, low weight and more favorably priced.
